Copyright and Intellectual Property (IP)

ThailandGuru.com > ThailandGuru can help you with ... > Intellectual property

The founder of ThailandGuru, Mr. Mark Prado, has considerable experience in intellectual property. Mr. Prado's first job out of the university was with the U.S. Department of Commerce in the intellectual property field, which started with completion of their academy on patents, trademarks and copyrights. Mr. Prado served as a Patent Examiner for the U.S. Patent Office in the Washington, D.C., area (Arlington, Virginia), analyzing and judging patent applications, dealing with the applicants' lawyers, and writing legal judgements. Mr. Prado has also successfully filed applications for trademark and copyright, including for this website.

Mr. Prado and his staff are willing to handle many, but not all, requests for copyright, trademark and patent applications. ThailandGuru currently applies only in the United States of America and Thailand, though such applications also give you certain rights in the countries of signatories to international treaties regarding intellectual property.

(We are also familiar with the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) of the Thai Ministry of Commerce. One of our Thai partners is a freelance journalist of high stature.)
